Singapore Tourism Board (STB) has rolled out Several New Initiatives due to the COVID-19 Outbreak

The world has come to a stop, and the COVID-19 outbreak has crippled the world economy. Countries have gone into lockdown and are taking strict measures to stop the spread of the disease. However, the world can’t stay this way forever.

Initiatives have to be taken to go back to normal slowly. Singapore is taking proactive steps to make things healthy. Their tourism board has taken action to deal with the COVID-19 outbreak.

Singapore had predicted that there would be a loss of international travelers by 25%, but as the situation continues, the loss may add up to more. Seeing Singapore is totally dependent on the tourism industry for the economy, and the government rolled out a few initiatives to promote tourism despite the conditions.

Tourism Recovery Action Task Force (TRAC) developed strategies to aid the tourism industry. TRAC is working with the National Environment Agency (NEA) and other government agencies for the “SG Clean” campaign.

The campaign’s goal is to reassure the public that local businesses maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation. It shows that the Singapore Government is prioritizing high levels of public health. The SG Clean quality mark certificate will be given this year and next for more than 32,000 premises.

It shows the government is all set to make some changes and make things safe and hygienic for travelers. STB India is also promoting Singapore Tourism through videos and emails. Even though travel restrictions are still in place, Singapore Tourism is ready for the travel ban to be lifted.
